server and used effectively as knowledge.

Background of development |
Under the management of NEDO, a subordinate
organization of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and
Industry of Japan, the public was invited to apply
to join an assistance program (digital meister
project) to develop a knowledge system for the mold-making
industry. We were chosen as one of participants
in the program, and proposed and developed this
system in cooperation with a forged metal product
manufacturer and consulting company of forged
metal product industry.

For performing the required duties, documents
(minutes of meetings, accident reports, etc.) which
are already prepared can be registered as knowledge.
(Documents in such formats as Word, Excel, PDF,
PowerPoint, Ichitaro, etc. are supported).
Information and documents that have been registered
in the specified Web form can be searched and browsed through
the use of natural language.

It consists of three layers with emphasis on
security. However, it can also be composed of
two layers or one layer. Although Oracle
has been adopted as the database, it is compatible with XML, so that its configuration
is variable to meet customers' needs.
